Looking for two members of the public to serve as At-Large Members of this committee.
In order to prepare a recommended Open Space Ordinance (OSO), to replace the one currently set forth in the Goffstown Zoning Ordinance, the planning board is establishing an open space subcommittee, which shall include two (2) members of the planning board, two (2) members of the conservation commission/open space committee, one (1) member of the zoning board of adjustment, and two members of the public as At-Large members. The subcommittee shall prepare and recommend an OSO to be adopted by the PB for the 2026 warrant. The committee shall be chaired by a member of the planning board and shall set its own schedule for meetings. Meetings shall be held in Town Hall, or such other place as might be deemed appropriate. Minutes of attendees and actions taken shall be prepared by the subcommittee. The subcommittee, in the course of its work, shall identify parcels over 20 acres that would be subject to the OSO, identify any approved OSO projects that have not been completed, identify the physical property characteristics of parcels over 20 acres, and collect ordinances from other communities. They shall prepare a proposed ordinance and any needed/associated rules and regulations. The sole purpose for this subcommittee shall be to provide a proposed OSO by September 15, 2025, to assist the PB in the preparation of an article for an OSO for the 2026 warrant. The Committee shall dissolve upon the completion of the PB’s preparation of warrant articles for 2026.
The current Open Space Ordinance can be found in the
